Here’s just a brief overview of how our onboarding process works once you have completed the interview process and accept an offer:

Once you have completed the interview process and accept an offer:

  1. HR will send you the new hire package to complete, sign and return;
  2. When we receive the required paperwork from you we will order your background check (this usually takes 48-72 hours);
  3. When your cleared background check comes back you will be notified and any missing employment documents that will need to be provided;
  4. Once HR has all of your paperwork our IT partners will set-up your system credentials and get your necessary equipment prepared for your first day(this process takes approximately 1-2 days;
  5. Once HR has your credentials they will send you a welcome email out;
  6. If your position requires marketing support you’ll be contacted to make sure that what you need is in on the way before your first day on the team.

Position: Lock Desk Analyst

Primary Objectives
Weststar Mortgage Corporation is looking for a professional individual to join our Capital Markets team in Las Colinas, TX. The Lock Desk Analyst will assist in all loan specific functions including loan product roll out, loan pricing, lock confirmations, monitoring pipelines, investor loan sales, investor relations, pricing and rate analysis, deficiency resolution, and other duties as assigned. The candidate must be able to work independently with little to no supervision to work effectively in a high paced, team orientated environment.


  • Distribute rate sheet daily or as market changes
  • Monitor Lock Desk inbox and returns e-mail and phone calls in a timely manner
  • Support origination channel throught loan process on pricing and lock desk questions/concerns
  • Perform buy-side/sell-sede of loans to and from correspondents
  • Manage pipline of loan commitment back-fills per correspondent

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience
  • Mortgage industry preferred
  • Excellent written aNd verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills including intermediate Excel skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with low tolerance for error
  • Ability to examine large volumes of information and identify errors and determine their root cause

Position: Collateral Analyst

Primary Objectives
We are seeking a qualified Collateral Analyst with superior organizational skills. The candidate must possess a working knowledge of residential lending programs and practices with the proven ability to partner with third party vendors to ensure that loans are properly handled in a timely manner.


  • Review loan documentation for accuracy and proper completion; follow up on outstanding documentation with title companies
  • Scanning files into image system
  • Track and ship collateral documents (note, security instruments) to custodian
  • Mailing of Servicing Transfer Letters to customers
  • Review of daily reports to ensure deadlines are met
  • Entry of data into company software as required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years residential mortgage lending experience with good knowledge of post-closing and shipping practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, prior experience using Encompass360 and/or Blitzdocs a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to adapt well to a fast paced and constantly changing business environment; comfortable with new technology systems and paperless environment, must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to take initiative to seek out additional tasks and responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
